Privacy Policy

DreamDay Looks ("the app", "we", "us") is operated by Vanshikara. This policy explains what personal data the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it. By using the app you agree to this policy.

1. What we collect

• Mobile number — to create your account and sign you in via a one-time password (OTP).
• Photos you upload — a selfie (required) and an optional outfit photo, used only to generate your AI look. These are never stored on our servers.
• The looks we generate for you — saved to your account so you can come back to them later, along with the look score, styling notes and the choices you made. You can delete any look, or all of them, from inside the app at any time.
• Basic usage data — timestamps and generation counts, stored in Google Firestore to enforce free-look quotas and improve the product. These are stored against a one-way code derived from your mobile number rather than the number itself (see section 4).
• Feedback you give on a look — a thumbs up or down and, optionally, a reason chosen from a short fixed list. Stored with that look and deleted when you delete the look or your account. There is no free-text box, so nothing you type is collected here.
• Email address (optional) — only if you choose to give it on the "notify me" form, and only so we can tell you once when paid credits launch. It is never required and is not used to sign you in.
• Analytics & app activity — anonymous in-app events (e.g. looks generated, screens viewed) and standard app/device information, collected via Firebase Analytics to improve the app.

We do not collect your contacts, location, or device identifiers for advertising.

2. How your photos are handled

3. Third-party processors

To provide the service we send data to Google:

• Firebase Authentication (Google) — manages sign-in with your mobile number and OTP. We never see or store your OTP.
• Google Gemini API — your uploaded photos are sent to Google's Gemini models to generate your look, governed by Google's terms and privacy policy.
• Cloud Firestore (Google) — stores the usage ledger (look counts, timestamps) used to enforce quotas, keyed by a one-way code derived from your mobile number.
• Google Cloud Storage — stores the looks we generate for you, in a private bucket in the asia-south1 region (India). Your uploaded selfies are not stored there or anywhere else.
• Firebase Analytics (Google) — anonymous usage and app-activity events plus a device/installation identifier, used to measure and improve the app. Not used for advertising.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the processors above needed to run the app, or where required by law.

4. Data retention

• Photos you upload: not retained after the request that uses them.
• Looks we generate for you: kept until you delete the look, delete all your looks, or delete your account — whichever comes first. Deleting your account removes every saved look immediately.
• Account (mobile number) & optional email: kept while your account exists, and deleted when you delete your account.
• Anti-abuse code — the one thing that outlives your account: when you delete your account we keep a one-way code derived from your mobile number, together with how many looks that code has used, for 30 days, and then delete it automatically. We do this for a single reason: free looks cost us real money to generate, and without it anyone could reset their free allowance simply by deleting their account and signing up again on the same number.
  • The code is produced with a keyed hash using a secret we hold separately. We cannot read your number back out of it — we can only check whether a number we have just been given matches. It is a pseudonym, not anonymous data, and we treat it as personal data accordingly.
  • It is not used for marketing, profiling, analytics or advertising, and it is not shared with anyone.
  • Nothing else survives deletion: not your looks, not your email, not your sign-in.

We are the Data Fiduciary for this processing under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The purpose of the 30-day code is preventing abuse of a free service, it is limited to the minimum data that can achieve that, and it is disclosed to you before your number is collected. If you believe it should not apply to you, contact us at admin@dreamdaylooks.com and we will review your request.

5. Deleting your data

You can delete your data at any time:

• One look: My looks → open it → Delete this look.
• Every saved look, keeping your account: Account → Delete all my looks.
• Your whole account: Account (top-right on the home screen) → Delete account.
• By email: admin@dreamdaylooks.com from, or citing, your registered number.

6. Children

DreamDay Looks is not directed to children. Do not use the app, or upload any photo of a person, if they are under the age required to consent in your jurisdiction. See our Terms & Conditions regarding photos of minors.

7. Security

Data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS. Authentication is handled by Firebase. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

8. Your rights & changes

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us. We may update this policy; the version and effective date above will change and material changes will be surfaced in the app.
